Achievement Focus Training
Training open courses in London, Manchester, Avon, Gloucestershire,

Success may be defined as “The achievement of your goals”
If that is true, then we must learn how to set and achieve goals
- Organisational goals
- Team goals
- Personal goals
Some people make a mistake: Some people seek fulfilment by chasing
pleasure.
High achieving organisations are those that seek fulfilment by
focusing on production.
This course is about developing a “winning attitude” and
sustaining it even through tough times.
What is “an Achievement Focus attitude”?
Achievement focus is the mental habit of fixing upon a profitable
goal, building plans of action, noticing the feedback results and making
adaptive changes.
The success formula is the application of the above
- Know your outcome.
- Formulate your best plan in writing/ take decisive
action.
- Gather and evaluate feedback. Both positive and
negative.
- Make progress by continually adapting and evolving.
- Recognise the success formula is a continual process
Failure formula is the contradictory of the success formula
- Specifically you fail to the degree that you have:
- Indecision or unclear targets.
- No written plan.
- Disheartened in the face of setbacks.
- Do the same thing this year as you did two years ago.

Achievement Focus - Summary and action planning
The training method follows this general pattern:
- The trainer gives a clear explanation of the point in question.
- The trainer then demonstrates the principle and gives specific
examples.
- Then, the delegates practice by doing an exercise with each other.
- The delegates practice by doing exercise with the trainer.
- All points are supported with full written notes to take away.
- Delegates are asked to write down an associated action, for each
point made.
- (At the end of the day, we have about twenty such actions, from
which the delegates choose six which are the most personally meaningful).
Note: we do not believe in placing people in any situation of embarrassment
by demanding that they 'perform' in front of the whole group. So you can
relax: come on this course and be at ease; ready to learn new skills!
