Management Communication Styles

Management Communication Styles

You will probably know the saying: "It's good in theory, but it wouldn't work in practice."

There are four communication styles that are based on how people combine "theory" with "practice".

We have given these four styles names.

1. Winners - Those who put good ideas into practice.

2. Dreamers - Those who have good ideas, but don't put them into practice.

3. Bodgers - Those who act first and think later.

4. Losers - Those who have no idea, and don't do anything.

Leadership and Management : Management Communication Styles

This statement highlights the differences between four-character types and their communication styles.

Each of these types affect other people in different ways.

1. What is the effect of the Dreamer on the rest of the team?

Dreamers - who have good ideas, but fail to put them into practice - create frustration within the team, because they waste time talking without taking any action.

2. What is the effect of the Bodger on the rest of the team?

Bodgers - the trial and error mentality - create nervousness and stress in the team, because people wonder what catastrophes will occur, due to this person's lack of planning.

3. What is the effect of the Loser mentality on the rest of the team?

Loser mentalities tend to be ignored, since losers have no power to influence events.

4. What is the effect of the Winner mentality on the rest of the team?

Winners inspire others because they combine good ideas with intelligent action, so they tend to do well and take others with them.
